The conclusion to the Elenium, this book picks up pretty much where the second stopped. The Sapphire Rose (the Bhelliom) has been recovered and is on its way to see if it can restore Ehlana (the Princess). There's still the problem of Martel, and Otha's plans for reconquering the West....but first Sparhawk has to get the Rose to Ehlana.There's a lot more, but the conclusion is satisfying. The author clearly already had a second trilogy at least partially plotted out, but the book ends relatively gracefully and without much by way of surprises. VERY recommended, especially if you're at all a fan of Edding's work.
