These are close to perfect shoes. The 6.5W fits me true-to-size, which is a rarity. I've got short toes, so I was worried that some people said these are 'too long', but I don't know what they're talking about because they're exactly in the right place for me. The shape gives you about 1" in the toe box, but this is just the design - I wonder if these are folks buying a larger size who actually need a wider shoe? Not sure. But seriously - my toes never reach the ends of shoes, and these fit like a glove.With a wide foot and high instep, I can often find wedges or pumps 'bite' me across the top of my foot, but the soft elastic ring around these eliminates that, without looking 'geriatric'. Are they the most fashion-forward shoe? no, of course not - but that's not what I wanted. i wanted a shoe that was going to be comfortable and stable on cobble stones in Italy, and dressy enough to go to dinner. No point in going on a trip with shoes that hurt and make you want to walk less, and see less, than you could with comfortable ones!Docked a star because the footbed is not cushioned well - I'll need to add some kind of padding. It's not uncomfortable as-is, but imagining walking for 8 hours, I'd expect to feel differently.I bought a size larger than I wear and they were definitely too big. The color did not match the picture on the web site.I read the reviews and ordered half size down. I should have ordered a full size down but didn't have time to return. I used a spacer at the toe so they wouldn't flip of off. The pewter color was very nice.These shoes have a long narrow toe box. They are a bit too tight, although I typically wear 11 narrow. I had the impression from the pic that the toe box area would be more rounded. Not sure that I like the tapering long narrow toe box. Since they are too tight, I will be sending them back.I was very disappointed in the fit. I need wide shoes to accommodate my big toe joint issues. And that part was fine. But I have never worn a pair of 6.5 shoes that were this long! They were like 7.5! So although size 6 is too small in other shoes I own, I exchanged these for size 6 wide and they fit like a normal size 6, which was too tight for my toe. So I think the 6.5 was either miss-marked and was really 7.5, or this shoe has a real issue with the difference in length between size 6 and 6.5.Somewhat large but comfortable. I like the style.Finally found a shoe I can wear through an entire formal event and not have my feet hurt! Wish I had found these sooner.Nice color. The shoes are soft and fit pretty well. I normally have difficulty findind shoes that fit my feet and don't hurt while wearing my orthotics.
