Delighted by this purchase, which doesn't always happen when buying clothing from the Internet. This dress is exactly as pictured, except better, because the fabric is incredibly soft and comfortable! It's a medium/heavy stretchy t-shirt material, so it holds its shape nicely and isn't sausage snug. It skims over my "mummy tummy" (I'm 5'5" and 135 lbs, I purchased M) without clinging but doesn't hide it, so if you have lumps/bumps, you might not prefer it. It doesn't make things worse, though! I feel comfortable in it. And the fabric is just yummy! Soft and comfy like pjs! It's almost like a brushed or microfiber feeling...very cozy! But it looks sleek, not frumpy. Anyway. It is long, which I prefer. But turning the hem under once with some hem tape should take care of it. At least my ankles aren't showing! I think this dress will look great with a denim jacket for casual and could easily be dressed up for a beach wedding.
