These yarns are great. Perfect for my dolls. I love cotton because it moves differently and doesn't give a child a rash when they play with their doll. Would make great blankey too. They are a pretty decent size but definitely not large. For the price that doesn't matter. The colors are awesome! Not like candy too much. I make hand made boutique dolls and I think these will be really awesome hair. If you haven't tried cotton for your dolls hair, give it a try. It holds shape when you move it. This ball of yarn will serve for a full head of hair for a 8 inch doll. I haven't crocheted with it yet, seems well twisted, probably won't fall apart while working with it. Hair will probably gradually untwist, giving finer hair at the ends, it's acceptable bc it's a cool effect over time.The doll pic is an example of cotton hair just in case you haven't tried it yet, it is NOT with these yarns, but I wanted to give an idea of how much hair you can get out of a ball this size with some to spare. She is 8 inches tall and hair goes down to her legs. She has a LOT of hair. No empty spots on her head.
