Seems OKI bought these to protect my roses this winter so I haven’t used them yet but they appear to be sufficient.I use these for my roses and in the summer my husband uses in the garden for his seedlings so the rabbits don't eat the broccoli until plants get bigger. These are sturdy and easy to assemble and use, but very pricey if you need quite a few. They fold up nicely so easy to storeUsing for roses and hydrangeas. Of the 27 I ordered, 3 were missing the fasteners that make them useable, and we were quickly sent replacements at no charge. These are durable and I think I’ll get many years use from them.I have dozens of these and can use more. They are cleverly made, easily assembled, easily taken apart. After flattening them this spring I began putting back up so our lawn crew could weed-eat around the roses without harming them. I also liked them for keeping bumbling people like me from walking over and on new plants. I put in Joe Pye, which needed immediate protection but later grew up and out of the collars. The collars are only in the way with a short plant (during the summer) when the young plant needs more sun. I just move the collars away and put them back, in that case. As the large front-yard garden matures I will continue to use them various ways. I wanted to weed-eat around a very large Cat Mint plant. I just snapped three or four collars together for that engineering feat. That made it easy to weed around the mint without whacking it. And -- when I needed more snaps I got them by mail in a few days.Very easy to use and not a total eyesore. Very lightweight but seem sturdy. I’m hopeful they work well, don’t blow away… & my roses wake up healthy in the Spring! This is my second purchase of rose collars in the last dozen years. The first set is finally wearing out. They are perfect to use to winter-over my roses. I trim the roses to the height of the assembled collars, then fill with leaves (which allow the roses stems to breathe), and secure with a piece of wood across the top. Come spring, I remove, clean, and store the collars, then remove the leaves, and watch the leaf buds develop!I purchased these in 2016. They have protected my roses every winter. I have to order more because mine are starting to crack and break. I feel like I have gotten my money’s worth for the last 4 years. I would definitely recommend them.I use these for my container roses, protects them from the icy winds
