These boots are a great value for the price ($135) - Real leather, not the softest, but not that cheap plastic stuff, so these boots make a classy impression. Stitching and sole seem like they would hold up well over time. Shoe bed was true to size and fairly comfortable (considering heel height).Read the product descriptions carefully-- I accidentally ordered the extra wide shaft first (just $75- what a steal!), but it was way too big for my (fairly wide) calves. I liked them so much, though, that I ordered a pair of the regular shaft to try instead-- My calves are 16.25 around (usually require a wide shaft) and the standard shaft is a great fit -- close but not tight - so even the standard shaft runs a big large. Note that there are three widths available for this boot (separate product pages on Amazon) - standard, wide, and extra wide.I ended up returning these boots because the ankles are too wide for my legs. The boot has a nice tapered shape to fit the contours of your leg, just wasn't a fit for mine :(
