In the second book of the Chalice Rose Series, the inspiring and and exciting journey of Greylin continues. Once I finally got to sit down and read it, I could not put it down. The story line is wonderful and I love the characters. C.K. Sholly continues to weave many truths throughout this wonderful story. The main character brings to mind Joan of Arc and her story is inspiring and courageous. The story rolls effortlessly and smoothly. It holds your attention as you wait for what happens next, and how Greylin progresses through her trials and calling. Several times I had to slow myself down from trying to devour the book too quickly. The only complaint I have with this book (like with the first), is that I do not already have book 3 in my hands already. I cannot wait to see if my intuition is right about parts of book 3! Thank you to the author for yet another great read! Once again before the last in the series comes out, I will happily and excitedly begin again by re-reading the first 2 in the series before I read the next. This is a definitely a trilogy I will hang onto and read repeatedly. Thank you Carol, for taking me away to another time and land where I could become part of the story with the great imagery and writing.
