This helps so much to get kitty litter off their feet and not spreading it to the floor. I use a mini vac to clean it. Love it!I bought this brand before and eventually wanted to change color. I bought another brand and ended up returning it - just not the same. I like the size (it comes with 2 also) and I like the pattern size which seems to work well for trapping extra cat litter when the cats hop out of the box. I use the 2 mats side by side and seems to really help trap some of the litter on their paws (and catch any kicked out when digging in there). Nothing will 100% stop some litter tracking, but this seems to work very well for my 2 cats hopping on my carpet when leaving their toitey.Bought cause my female cats are peeing outside their litter box. It is to protect my floor. It works great and is easy to clean. I just have horrible cats who won’t stop their bad behavior.Product comes with 2 mats so you can decide how you need them positioned. Nonslip backing keeps them in place, and they do a great job of catching stray litter as my cat steps out of his litter boxGreat for keeping the kitty litter to a minimum when they stop on it. One avoids it and still tracks. The biggest argument my husband had against me getting the kitten I'd been begging for was his disdain for stepping on litter spread from the box. My begging and puppy dog eyes did nothing to persuade him, but when he ultimately surrendered to my unrelenting pleading, these mats were one of my first purchases. Our precious baby is a JERK whose favorite hobby is flinging his litter (and sometimes other things) as far as it can go. When paired with an open litter pan, there was absolutely no controlling the stray litter spread by our newest fur monster. We soon upgraded to a covered litter box and there was a slight improvement, but still, every morning, we'd feel the torture of stray litter between our bare feet and the hardwood floors. We ultimately pulled the trigger on a cool dome litter box with steps meant to reduce litter spreading and finally, FINALLY the litter is contained. So yes, these mats catch a good 70% of the litter, but only when set up with a comparable litter set up. Every week or two I take them outside and take my anger out on them with some intense shaking and maybe a broom stick. It doesn't remove 100% of the litter, but enough to call it clean. I've only had one instance of a little nugget of #2 being smushed into the mats, and I was able to adequately wipe away with some toilet paper. I fear if anyone decided to pee on it or if #2 dried on it, it would be much harder to clean, but I won't be worrying about that bridge until I get to it. I feel these are reasonably priced enough to replace if needed, and effective enough to keep around with any of my litter boxes. It works comparably to other version of this type of product and the price is right, so I'd definitely recommend getting these for anyone who deals with a litter box.Edit- the bane of my husband's existence recently barfed all over one of the mats. The paper towel wiping method was making me want to barf myself, so I hung it over the tub, set the shower head to massage, and blasted the disgustingness out. I left it there to dry and it was back to normal when I remembered about it a few hours later. Do not fear the semisolids! The litter mat, when it lays flat, collects the tread litter rather well, capturing it within the texture of the mat. My two cats, however, can push the mat around on a vinyl floor, (see photo) even though a good part of it is under the litter box to hold it in place. When they push it about, probably by scratching it, the mat folds, and isn't that useful. Perhaps if the mat was made of a heavier material the cats can't easily move, it would work even better. I do not regret getting the mats, as they do contain much of the litter from cat paws.It is not very good… it moves around and I still have litters on the floor…
