I thought this was very appropriate to give her as she rest in peace with my thoughts and prayers.I received a purple rose and I love it. I ordered this one for a 60th Anniversary. When I opened this red rose, there was no papers with it. There should of been a information card that told how to take care of it, and also another page, not sure what that was. Could you send those to me please. Thank youjI'll often buy flowers for my wife, but cut flowers have a pretty short shelf life. I thought this would make an interesting gift for her birthday. This Ecuadorian rose is really nice to look at. It's in really good condition and is just flawed enough that it doesn't look fake. The way the extra petals are glued around the base of the stem leads me to believe that these are set up in the display by hand. The described "high-tech" preservation process includes drying, dehydrating, and "etc." Since the glass dome can be removed, and air can easily get in, I'm sure there is some sort of preservative used, otherwise there's no way this would last 4-5 years as they say. I feel if this was vacuum sealed and stayed in the glass, it would last much longer. We will see how long this lasts before it starts to wither. The one I got is slightly crooked and leans against the glass on one side, but overall, I'm satisfied. Comes in a nice, giftable box with a bow, and that box provides plenty of padding so you don't have to worry too much about it being damaged in shipping.It's a bummer that this only lasts 5 years, but that's a trade-off for it being a real rose that you can view in its prime glory for that long. It looks gorgeous, and it's packed really well, too, so it doesn't break. It makes for the perfect addition to the decorations of any home, and I highly recommend it even if it's not a gift. Really, though, this is the kind of thing you usially only give or get as a gift. I still recommend.This is a very beautiful, giftable, real rose that has vibrant colors. So far is very long lasting without fading colorsi LOVE roses and i just adore the idea of these preserved ones especially in such a pretty and aesthetically pleasing glass dome.There are a ton of similar products on Amazon and I chose this one because of the unique black option. Great for someone like me with year round Halloween/gothic/witchy decor.This was everything I wanted and hoped for and more.The blossom on the rose is VERY full and voluminous. the petals are splayed openly perfectly and not a petal is out of place!the overall look is shockingly gorgeous!the glass dome seems very sturdy and stable and im not too worried about it breaking. It looks gorgeous sitting anywhere.So far everything is perfect and I'm super happy i picked this one. the black is a true matte blackIf I'm not mistaken, this is a real Black Rose, covered in some type of preservative that keeps it looking fresh, and moist.It comes in a fancy box, complete with a black & gold ribbon. It's a great conversation piece, an a perfect gift for your significant other or your crush.There's a thick glass dome over it, and I suggest you just leave it on. You can clean the glass with Windex and a paper towel, and just keep it on to protect the rose.I imagine this on a nightstand, or a piano, or some type of display in a bedroom.This thing is beautiful, sexy, and awesome.I feel like it should actually cost more lolGrab one, seriously. You'll dig it...or someone you love will.I got this for myself as one of my birthday gifts. I love roses! I put this on my bedside stand. When I wake in the morning and roll over and see this it always makes me smile. The outer package keeps this secure and makes it a perfect gift. When the intended opens this I hope they enjoy it as much as I do.
