Workmanship: The Derek Rose has a heal that is raised a bit less than inch and that causes the rest of the foot be pushed forward against the tip. It's very narrow fit and the leather isn't very soft, not very comfortable at all.Price: The prices fluctuates from $200-$70 based on the size, which is quite telling of the actual value and price. The Derek Rose Slippers are not worth $200 maybe $70 if the fit is right.Although I have to say that it was one of the better ones amongst seven different slippers that I evaluated, but not good enough and were returned.I hope this helps, Good luck. The slipper looks exactly like on the picture. The leather is soft. To my husband's and mine (this was a present for him) huge disappointment, the shoe doesn't have any cushion nor arch support. It surprised us that the footbed felt like a plywood rather than leather. I returned themI'll say this... it's $200 but, this is an extremely well made slipper. It's literally made to last. It's extremely comfortable and they look great. So, if you're the type of person who takes care of their things and figure you won't lose or destroy them and therefor, have them for years to come... I would definitely recommend. After all, if you have them for years and are wearing them daily.... the price per wear is low.5 star slipper. After about 15 steps I realized that my bare feet would be softer and more comfortableThese would approach torture to wear with any consistencyat the end of the day when hubby slips into these soft slippers, you can hear the sigh of relief. He is one happy hubby!Very comfortable slipperWear down too quickly for light wear!
