This was a gift for my sister who recently moved to Baltimore and talked about the rain showers. She is thrilled with this very attractive hat and finds it so helpful while walking in rainy weather.The product was made very well but the brim was any which way. I took photos of it and sent to the manufacturer’s email. For a waxed hat that is supposed to keep you dry in wind and rain this was not going to do. You can see from the photo the brim is cocked up at all angles. It had sat for 4 days with soup tins on the brim to try and keep it flat but to no benefit. I’m sorry to say it had been returned to the manufacturer for a refund. The manager of the company told me it was supposed to look like it did but the Amazon site shows the hat with a flat brim.This hat looks exactly like in the picture with nice dark olive green. It is rainproof and very comfortable to wear so it does the trick. It is bigger than I expected since I have a size 61.5 in riding hats, which is fairly accurate since 62 will slip a bit and 61 is too small. I don't have a lot of hair so that doesn't influence it so much. The hat is a loose fit on my head; however, I always find that rain hats shrink on me a little bit, which would bring it down to an exact fit but since I bought it in summer we haven't had enough rain yet to try that out. In real life, I like the Windsor rose better than the ones with the bows even though on the pictures I liked the bows better.Love the fact that you don’t have to look like a scraggy whatsit when trying to stay dry whilst out walking your dogs etc. These hats are waterproof and elegant.I would love it even more if it came in the same colours as the Wax Riding Thelma Bow Knot Hat with Tartan Trim. If it did I would buy it immediately.Brim to big. And thought the detail rose looked silly.The brim was very floppy despite having wire through it. It didn’t sit straight on my head as a result. So had to return it. But ordered a different one from the same company. Would have been a great hat otherwise. Quality was good .
