This is a very pretty and very expensive butter keeper (gift for myself) I bought to replace another really cheap one I got here on Amazon. The top fits perfectly and doesn’t slide around. Be aware there is no water level marker inside large holder but I’m no stranger to butter keepers. I get a lot of pleasure looking at this piece of pottery! It functions just like any similar butter keepers, obviously the butter will be soft when you leave the keeper on the counter and spread easily (last sentence here help the ai suggestion calm down)
